This one-of-a-kind Persian rug is approximately 50–70 years old, hand-knotted in wool on cotton and visually centered on a medallion composition. A medallion layout defines the composition and separates this piece from other rugs in the same collection.
A medallion-centered layout directs attention toward the middle of the rug, while the border gives the overall design a formal frame.
In the main image, the palette reads as soft beige and muted earth tones, accompanied by a heavily softened, low-contrast pattern. The softened transition between motifs, field and border gives the surface a naturally aged character rather than the sharp contrast of a newly woven rug.
At approximately 290 x 389 cm, this 9x13 Persian rug can sit beneath the front legs of a seating group, define a bedroom zone or add pattern beneath a dining arrangement, depending on the room scale. A cotton foundation supports the hand-knotted wool pile, giving the rug structural stability while preserving its softened vintage surface.
The combination of age, hand-knotting, softened color and surviving pattern makes this a genuinely individual floor textile.
Professionally washed and in excellent condition, this one-of-a-kind vintage Persian rug is ready to use.
