An Oriental medallion composition gives this beige Anatolian vintage rug a formal center while preserving its hand-knotted individuality. Woven approximately 40–50 years ago by local village weavers in Anatolia, the rug belongs to a tradition of carpets made for real household use. The wool surface, cotton foundation and hand-built pattern reflect a practical form of craftsmanship in which no two pieces were exactly alike.

An oriental medallion layout remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting. Visually, the rug has an earthy, mid-toned appearance with low-contrast pattern definition, giving the aged surface natural depth while preserving the clarity of the original design.
