This original Turkish vintage rug, hand-knotted roughly 40–50 years ago, pairs a wool pile and cotton foundation with an all-over design.
After professional washing and careful shearing, the wool surface reads softer and more subdued than a full-pile traditional carpet. The field is organized as an all-over composition rather than around a single central device, keeping the pattern visually continuous.
The photographed surface shows warm beige with ochre undertones, together with a softly faded pattern. Subtle tonal variation across the field is part of the vintage character and makes this piece visually distinct from machine-made reproductions.
At approximately 210 x 310 cm, the 7x10 format works well as an area rug in a living room, bedroom or dining space where some surrounding floor can remain visible. Its subdued surface pairs easily with wood, linen, leather and other natural materials.
Natural asymmetry, tonal change and pile variation are consistent with its age and hand-knotted construction. Professionally washed and prepared for use, it remains a one-of-a-kind Turkish vintage rug. The wool-on-cotton structure provides a durable foundation beneath the softened vintage pile. The combination of faded color, visible knot-built drawing and a quiet border gives the rug enough character to stand alone without overwhelming a room.
Professionally washed and in excellent condition, this one-of-a-kind vintage Turkish rug is ready to use.
