The central medallion of this beige Anatolian vintage rug provides a clear focal point while retaining its hand-knotted village character. Dating from approximately 40–50 years ago, the rug was woven in an Anatolian village using the traditional Turkish double-knot method. It was created as a practical domestic textile, so small changes in motif placement, knot density and proportion remain visible as natural evidence of individual craftsmanship.
A central medallion remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting.
At approximately 172 x 254 cm, its medium-to-large scale can anchor a living room seating group, bedroom or dining area; placing at least the front furniture legs on the rug helps connect the arrangement. The rug can act as a focal point in a quiet interior or as a textural foundation in a more collected room. Simple furniture and natural finishes give the hand-knotted pattern enough visual space to stand out. Small variations in line, border alignment and motif scale are part of its authenticity and help distinguish it from a newly manufactured rug. The result is a one-of-a-kind floor textile with enough decorative presence for both traditional rooms and more restrained contemporary interiors.
This rug has been professionally washed, is in excellent condition, and is ready to use.
