5x8 Hand-Knotted Anatolian Rug - 50011

This beige vintage Anatolian rug combines an Oriental medallion layout with the subtle irregularity of authentic hand-knotted village weaving. Dating from approximately 40–50 years ago, the rug was woven in an Anatolian village using the traditional Turkish double-knot method. It was created as a practical domestic textile, so small changes in motif placement, knot density and proportion remain visible as natural evidence of individual craftsmanship.

An oriental medallion layout remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting.

At approximately 165 x 240 cm, its medium-to-large scale can anchor a living room seating group, bedroom or dining area; placing at least the front furniture legs on the rug helps connect the arrangement. For a more contemporary setting, pair it with simple upholstery, warm wood tones and restrained accessories; in a traditional room, it can sit comfortably alongside antique furniture and layered textiles.
