5x7 Hand-Knotted Anatolian Rug - 49855

A medallion-centered layout defines this beige vintage Anatolian rug and preserves the individual character of village hand-knotting. Dating from approximately 40–50 years ago, the rug was woven in an Anatolian village using the traditional Turkish double-knot method. It was created as a practical domestic textile, so small changes in motif placement, knot density and proportion remain visible as natural evidence of individual craftsmanship.

A central medallion remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting. Visually, the rug has an earthy, light-toned appearance with low-contrast pattern definition, giving the aged surface natural depth while preserving the clarity of the original design.

At approximately 150 x 215 cm, its versatile proportions suit bedrooms, compact living rooms, reading areas and smaller dining spaces, especially when some surrounding flooring is left visible.
