5x11 Hand-Knotted Anatolian Rug - 50007

This beige vintage Anatolian rug combines an Oriental medallion layout with the subtle irregularity of authentic hand-knotted village weaving. Dating from approximately 40–50 years ago, the rug was woven in an Anatolian village using the traditional Turkish double-knot method. It was created as a practical domestic textile, so small changes in motif placement, knot density and proportion remain visible as natural evidence of individual craftsmanship.

An oriental medallion layout remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting. Visually, the rug has an earthy, light-toned appearance with low-contrast pattern definition, giving the aged surface natural depth while preserving the clarity of the original design.

At approximately 150 x 334 cm, its generous proportions make it suitable for larger living rooms, dining rooms or bedrooms, where it can sit beneath the main furniture group and provide a strong visual foundation.
