This 50–70-year-old Persian rug is hand-knotted in wool on cotton, with a geometric design providing its principal visual structure.
Geometric motifs provide the main decorative structure, with age softening the edges of the original drawing.
From the main image, soft beige with muted rust accents is the dominant color impression, with a softly faded pattern. Subtle changes between field and border preserve the naturally aged character of the hand-knotted wool.
With actual measurements of about 110 x 368 cm, this 4x12 rug has a versatile rectangular scale for living, dining or bedroom settings. Neutral furnishings allow the aged pattern and tonal variation to remain visually prominent. The wool pile is built over a cotton foundation, combining traditional construction with a softened surface that reads naturally in both classic and modern rooms.
Small irregularities in line and motif placement are characteristic of traditional hand-knotting and reinforce the rug’s individual character. The surviving motif structure and naturally softened pile give the rug enough presence to work as a focal piece while still supporting a layered interior.
Professionally washed and in excellent condition, this one-of-a-kind vintage Persian rug is ready to use.
