3x6 Hand-Knotted Anatolian Rug - 49958

A geometric prayer composition gives this beige vintage Anatolian rug a directional character shaped by hand-knotted village weaving. Woven approximately 40–50 years ago by local village weavers in Anatolia, the rug belongs to a tradition of carpets made for real household use. The wool surface, cotton foundation and hand-built pattern reflect a practical form of craftsmanship in which no two pieces were exactly alike.

A geometric prayer design remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting. Visually, the rug has a softly muted, mid-toned appearance with low-contrast pattern definition, giving the aged surface natural depth while preserving the clarity of the original design.

At approximately 104 x 195 cm, its narrow rectangular format works naturally in smaller living areas, bedrooms, home offices or beside a dining table, where it adds pattern without occupying the entire floor.
