2x12 Hand-Knotted Anatolian Rug - 49964

The central medallion of this beige Anatolian vintage rug provides a clear focal point while retaining its hand-knotted village character. Dating from approximately 40–50 years ago, the rug was woven in an Anatolian village using the traditional Turkish double-knot method. It was created as a practical domestic textile, so small changes in motif placement, knot density and proportion remain visible as natural evidence of individual craftsmanship.

A central medallion remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting. Visually, the rug has an earthy, light-toned appearance with low-contrast pattern definition, giving the aged surface natural depth while preserving the clarity of the original design.

At approximately 76 x 375 cm, its runner-like proportions are well suited to hallways, long entry spaces, beside a bed or behind a sofa, where the length can guide movement through the room.
