Dating back approximately 50–70 years, this Persian rug is hand-knotted in wool on cotton and organized through an all-over layout. The rug is organized around an all-over design, giving its field and border a clearly readable decorative structure.
Motifs repeat across the field without a dominant center, producing a continuous all-over pattern.
From the main image, soft beige and muted earth tones are the dominant color impression, with a heavily softened, low-contrast pattern. Tonal shifts remain visible across the field and border, giving the surface a more individual, timeworn appearance.
At approximately 300 x 398 cm, this 10x13 Persian rug can sit beneath the front legs of a seating group, define a bedroom zone or add pattern beneath a dining arrangement, depending on the room scale. The wool pile is built over a cotton foundation, combining traditional construction with a softened surface that reads naturally in both classic and modern rooms.
Subtle differences in line, pile and motif alignment reflect hand production and add to the individuality of this older Persian rug. The balance of hand-knotted texture, aged color and surviving pattern gives the rug a collected appearance that is difficult to reproduce artificially.
Professionally washed and in excellent condition, this one-of-a-kind vintage Persian rug is ready to use.
