After professional washing and careful shearing, the wool surface reads softer and more subdued than a full-pile traditional carpet. A central medallion organizes the field, giving the composition a clear focal point without losing the irregularity of hand work.

In the main image, the palette reads as soft beige with muted rust accents, with a heavily softened, low-contrast pattern. The border remains visually connected to the field rather than appearing newly restored, which helps retain the rug’s aged character.
