7x10 Hand-Knotted Anatolian Rug - 49992

An Oriental medallion composition gives this beige Anatolian vintage rug a formal center while preserving its hand-knotted individuality. Dating from approximately 40–50 years ago, the rug was woven in an Anatolian village using the traditional Turkish double-knot method. It was created as a practical domestic textile, so small changes in motif placement, knot density and proportion remain visible as natural evidence of individual craftsmanship.

An oriental medallion layout remains the main decorative feature, while the surrounding field and border retain the natural irregularity of hand-knotting.

At approximately 202 x 302 cm, its medium-to-large scale can anchor a living room seating group, bedroom or dining area; placing at least the front furniture legs on the rug helps connect the arrangement.
